European Championships

The IHAA European Championships takes place every other year.
As with the other major IHAA championships, the Horseback Archery Eventing discipline is contested.

European Championships 2024, Hungary

In July 2024 the European Championships were held in Hungary. Tower 90 & Raid 234 ran concurrently on days 1 and 2. On day 3 a twisting 1.4km Hunt track took place with 24 targets. All tracks were livestreamed and you can find the footage archived here:

A Kids European Championshipswas contested in France in August. 17 riders from 5 countries took part, competing on the FFE Youth T60, the FFE Youth R233, and a Hunt track

European Championships 2022, France

In September 2022 the European Championships were held in France. During the first three days the classic Horseback Archery Eventing styles were run - Tower 90, Raid 2-3-5 and Hunt Track - and these results counted for both team and individual classifications. On the fourth day of competition, the Skirmish event was contested by only the top placed individuals, who challenged for medals in the individual classifications within 4 age categories: Juniors, Young Riders, Seniors and Masters.

47 competitors from 11 European countries took part.

In September 2019 the European Championships were held in Poland.
The wooded Polish (Hunt) track was the defining feature of this HBAE competition.

European Championships 2017, France

The first Horseback Archery European Championships was held in France in June 2017.
Close to 80,000 people came past the large white sand competition rings during three 3 days of competition in the FFE's Parc Equestre Federal in Lamotte-Beuvron, France.
